ARMAZI არმაზი ARMAZI

The ARMAZI server is a common project, supported by Volkswagen Foundation within the program Common Roads to Europe

The project, which was founded by Volkswagen Foundation from 1999 to 2002, was aimed at introducing some philological departments of the main scientific institutions of the Republic of Georgia into the framework of the World Wide Web. In the course of several individual projects, the participating institutes developed and tested methods of providing digital data for a common usage in research and teaching. On this basis, they hope to have layed the foundation for a comprehensive data base which reflects the linguistic and cultural diversity of the Caucasian region and which is now accessible not only to the project participants but also to the international scholarly community as well as other persons interested.
